A Wine Journey

Caroline’s passion for wine began while studying abroad in Florence, Italy her junior year in college at Georgetown University. Upon her return to the States, she began an apprenticeship at a top fine wine store in Washington, DC. The desire to understand the full process of winemaking from the vineyard to the retailer, Caroline returned to Italy to work alongside winemaker Corrado Dottori from Le Marche during the 2013 vintage. Here, she came to appreciate the “art” of wine and the impact of the land or “terroir,” weather, climate, but most of all, the passion of those who create the wine.

Since returning from Italy, Caroline has visited wine regions all over the world. She has been leading tastings since 2015, and received her WSET level III in 2021. Her goal is to make wine approachable by helping wine drinkers to find the style that works for them, while understanding the history, geography, and decision making that went into making that bottle. She strives to foster conversation and critical thinking around wine, but most of all, just help people enjoy what they are drinking!
